Personal data/information is any information that is used to identify you such as your name, age, email address, postal address, telephone number, as well as information relating the reasons for supporting our cause. If you supply such information to TVF, we are legally bound by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) to ensure that such information is only used for the purpose for which it was requested and also to ensure that the data is held securely. That includes whether you want to make a donation, fundraise or volunteer for us, apply for a grant or want to learn more about what we do.
From May 25th, 2018 when you attend an event, activity or receive a grant from TVF we use legimate interest to keep you informed of future events and activities. In due course you will also be asked to OPT IN to receive TVF's Newsletter, invitations to events and for details of activities. In order to process Credit Card or other financial transactions we may ask for your bank or card details. All details are stored securely for the necessary period of time and then destoryed safely.
When online you will be directed to a secure area on our website. To ensure the maximum level of security is applied to your data, all transmissions over the internet to and from this area are encrypted using SSL (Secure Sockets Layer). Credit card and bank detail information is not retained on our web servers, but is transferred to our secure internal databases (for the purpose of collecting and recording payments).
Requests for information via TVF's website
If you make a request for further information via TVF website, the data will only be retained on the Web Servers as long as necessary in order to respond to your query.
We may collect and record information in order for us to understand more about how our website is used and in turn to make sure that the site reflects your needs. Who we share information with
TVF does not rent, sell, or swop your details with any third party at any time. TVF may from time to time need to use the services of an Internet Provider. Use of data by the Internet Service Provider on behalf of TVF is regulated and safeguarded within the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) May 25, 2018.
We retain personal information for as long as we reasonably require it for legal or business purposes. Personal information is normally stored for a maximum of seven years. In determining data retention periods, we consider laws, contractual obligations, and your expectations and requirements.
Access to your information
You may request a copy of any personal information that TVF has about you. TVF does not make a charge for supplying this information and will reply within 30 days of receipt of your request. It will help us to locate your records more easily if you can tell us something about the nature of your contact with TVF.
