Richard Poulter, TVF Ambassador, and  Lorna Votier, TVF Development Director, were delighted to attend the official opening of the new staff garden at Kingston Hospital where TVF and the main funding contributors were thanked and a plaque unveiled recognising this support. The new garden is a meeting place for staff located on a sloped and wooded patch of land adjacent to the Wolverton Centre at Kingston Hospital.

Nic Kane, Chief Nurse and Chair of Kingston Hospital’s Health and Wellbeing Committee, said: “The wellbeing of our staff is really important to us here at Kingston Hospital. In response to what we have been hearing from colleagues around the value of having more meeting spaces and places to get together and to take their breaks, we are pleased to have been able to officially open this relaxing and accessible outdoor space. Thank you to Kingston Hospital Charity and to those who have so generously contributed to the project, for making this wonderful new garden possible.”

The Victoria Foundation is delighted to have supported the Kingston Hospital Charity once again and to have awarded a grant of £8,000 to support the cost of developing the new staff garden.  TVF's grant helped to fund the landscaping and seating and was awarded by way of gratitude and acknowledgement to the staff at Kingston Hospital for their dedication during the COVID-19 pandemic.
