TVF’s Summer Lunch was a great success
TVF was delighted to have Fatima Whitbread, MBE as our Special Guest
Guests enjoyed a wonderful lunch in the stunning Cube Room at The Richmond Golf Club and very much enjoyed hearing about and seeing the new accessible minibus at Clarendon School in Hampton which was possible though a grant of £25,000 from The Victoria Foundation. This grant was only possible through the wonderful donation of £31,500 TVF received from Fiona Stewart from the fantastic sum she raised when she was the Richmond Golf Club Lady Captain in 2024 - 2025. Fiona was delighted to have recently visited Clarendon School to officially hand over the minibus and to meet to pupils and staff. For more details of how the new accessible minibus will help to transform young lives please watch this short film https://youtu.be/UCfS8Q7EY5s
After the lunch guests listened intently to Fatima who shared her story of how she overcame an extremely difficult childhood to become a world record holder and much more.
We heard how Fatima founded Fatima’s UK Campaign which she works tirelessly on as she believes that there is still significant progress to be made in helping the care experienced with a better start in life. She believes in creating positive change through collaboration.
The Victoria Foundation will explore ways in which we can collaborate with Fatima to support the care experienced in our local area.
A huge thank you to Fatima and all the guests who attended the lunch. Congratulations to all those who won prizes in the raffle and the silent auction and thank you for such generous support once again which will help to ensure TVF can transform more lives. Photographs which capture the most wonderful event.
