The Victoria Foundation is proud to be an Official Partner of The Royal Parks which uses one of the minibuses which TVF awarded a grant of £25,000 towards to Richmond and Kingston Community Transport .

Look out for the free minibus service in the park.

’It’s very difficult for us to raise funds for accessible buses and the ongoing contribution made by the Victoria Foundation is priceless. Without it, we wouldn’t be able to maintain the services we do at the moment. As always, thank you so much on behalf of all the thousands of people you help ‘

TVF awarded a grant of £17,700 towards an accessible minibus for Clarendon Secondary Centre, a day special academy for pupils aged 11-16 with moderate learning difficulties and additional complex needs including Autism.

…Our new bus will allow our pupils (all of whom have learning difficulties and additional complex needs) to access the full range of curriculum-supporting trips, school journeys, enrichment and extracurricular activities.  Your support will directly improve the day-to-day experiences of our vulnerable young people and enable us to provide the rich and varied opportunities beyond the school environment which are such a valuable part of what we do.’

TVF awarded a grant of £21,000 towards a new accessible minibus for Strathmore School, a happy, thriving, oversubscribed and growing special school for children and young people aged 4 -11 with severe and complex learning difficulties including those with an additional diagnosis of autism and/or physical/sensory disabilities.

‘It is so important that our children access the community, and we are absolutely driven to get them out into the community so that they can transfer the life-skills which they learn in the classroom on a daily basis into real-life situations which ultimately encourages their independence.  On behalf of the whole Strathmore School community, I'd like to say an enormous "thank you" to The Victoria Foundation and its supporters for their generous grant towards our new school minibus.’

Sarah Hurtado, Acting Headteacher - Strathmore
