The funds raised have enabled Crossroads Care Richmond & Kingston to create two new therapy rooms offering complementary massage and holistic therapies for Carers and the people they care for. With many CCR&K clients using respite breaks to complete basic tasks and errands, and Carers twice as likely to develop long-term health conditions – ‘time out’ has never been more important and now even more so with the impact of COVID-19.
In addition, the funds will support children and youngsters with complex needs through the enhancement and development of the indoor soft-play rooms and outdoor gyms of Strathmore School across all three school campuses within the Borough of Richmond.
We look forward to visiting both CCR&K and the Strathmore School sites in the coming months to see how our support is helping to transform lives. We will share details of the visits in our Autumn/Winter Newsletter 2020.
