Huge congratulations to TVF supporters Doris, Ruairi and Katie who completed the London Landmarks Half Marathon on Sunday April 3rd and raised over £1,200!  An enormous thank you to them for their generous donations and all their fantastic sponsors too. The funds raised will help to provide vital medical support and equipment.

The London Landmarks Half Marathon is a closed road, central London run and is the only half marathon to go through both the City of London and City of Westminster. The event was not your average half marathon and the atmosphere and support on the route were second to none! It was amazing to see nearly 12,000 runners cross the start line.  Doris was delighted to come 9th in her category,  Ruairi might consider a marathon as his next challenge, and Katie wanted to cross the finish line with her beloved mum who she cares for.

Katie ran in TVF's Team and the funds she raised will support the work of Crossroads Care Richmond and Kingston - a charity The Victoria Foundation is proud to support.

Julie Da Costa CEO of CCR&K said “We are so proud of Katie Cass who ran the London Landmarks Half Marathon yesterday in aid of The Victoria Foundation and Crossroads Care Richmond and Kingston. Katie wanted to cross the finish line with her beloved mum, who has a physical disability and who Katie cares for, so she did it virtually.

Care Manager at Crossroads Care, Nicola Wilson, who was cheering Katie on from the side-lines, said: ‘Katie did amazingly well. I couldn’t be any prouder. Watching her cross the finish line while talking to her mum on FaceTime was so emotional. A massive well done, and thanks to Katie who has raised more than £300 for us!
