Road Closures
George Street and Hill Rise will be closed to traffic from 5pm and re-open at 10pm with traffic being diverted around Richmond Green. Those attending the Victorian Evening are advised to take public transport to avoid traffic congestion.
Special Guests
With only a week to go Vicky Peirson, local Richmond resident and supporter of the charity, is getting ready for her very important role as Queen Victoria. Look out for The Mayor of Richmond, Gary Wilmot and Jenny Eclair who are appearing in Cinderella at Richmond Theatre in December, and Father Christmas.
George Street, The Green and Hill Rise come alive from five!
Lots of shops are staying open late with festive treats galore. You can enjoy Radio Jackie, Victorian stilt walkers and the Punch and Judy show. Stop and listen to the Marshgate Primary School choir, sing along to Christmas favourites with Shelle Luscombe, enjoy music from the Brass Quintet, win some fabulous prizes, and support the charity stalls. Join a team from Orleans House Gallery in the Old Town Hall to make Victorian-inspired lanterns and headwear to add to the festivities of the evening and post those special letters at the postbox on The Victoria Foundation stall.
