Join Graham Ball, CEO of The Victoria Foundation, on this 5 day once in a lifetime trekking challenge. By day you will be trekking in stunning scenery and at night sleeping in basic homes listening to the sound of the forest. The challenge finishes at the famous carnival city of Rio de Janeiro where you will meet up with the cycling challengers for a celebration not to be forgotten!
This stunning trekking challenge takes place on a mixture of jeep tracks, narrow jungle trails and on the principal path through the park, which is known as the Trilha do Oura, or the Gold Trail which was originally built by slaves to transport gold to the coast. The area is one of a real wilderness with spectacular biodiversity, rocky outcrop mountains of over 2000m with hidden waterfalls and rainforest pools.
Trekking Challenge cost £2,200 (*)
Fundraising target £2,500 (**)
* The Victoria Foundation will contribute the balance to cover the full cost of the challenge per participant
**Previous challengers may have a reduced fundraising target as agreed by TVF
