Published: 12 May 2016

The Richmond May Ball, an annual black tie charity event held in a fabulous marquee on Richmond Green, was a fantastic success with over 450 guests attending and £60,000 raised on the night. The Victoria Foundation and The Holly Lodge Center, two Richmond based charities, were delighted to be the beneficiaries of the exclusive event.

The ball was sponsored by Featherstone Leigh.

Guests enjoyed a fantastic Champagne Reception sponsored by Anthony Roberts before being seated in the stunning marquee on Richmond Green and being entertained by the superb Tenors Unlimited.

Samantha Bond was a wonderful host for the evening and kept guests entertained. After a superb dinner guests had the opportunity to win fantastic prizes in the auction.

There was much competition and strong bidding in the room during the auctions with fabulous prizes on offer. Adrian Biddell of Waterhouse & Dodd pushed bids high on the fantastic auction lots.

After the auction guests danced late into the night to classics and popular songs performed by DIVA.
Graham Ball, CEO of The Victoria Foundation said ‘I would like to say a huge thank you to Bob and Viv Harris, who organised the ball, and for choosing The Victoria Foundation as one of the two beneficiary charities of the event. The evening was a great success and to raise £60,000 is truly amazing. Events like these are vital to the charity as through the funds we receive and the raised awareness of our work we are able to transform more lives. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the very generous businesses for donating such fantastic prizes and to the guests for their generosity during the evening. The Victoria Foundation was so grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a fabulous event and hope we will be again in the future.’
