Medical support transforming lives

Royal Afternoon Tea at the Richmond Gate Hotel raises £1,300 in support of the Victoria Foundation.

Published: 25 June 2016

The Victoria Foundation and The Athena Network Richmond jointly organised a fabulous Royal Afternoon Tea at the Richmond Gate Hotel on 23rd June to celebrate the Queen’s birthday.  Over 40 guests who were members, supporters and friends of both organisations came together for a truly marvelous afternoon which raised £1,300 through a donation from the ticket sales, the raffle and an online auction arranged by Jumblebee.

Guests were very interested to gain an insight from ‘Tit fer tat’ Richmond on how they make their bespoke hats and advice on how to choose a hat to suit you.

Lorna Votier, Development Director of The Victoria Foundation said, ‘I would like to say a huge thank to all those who organised, attended and donated prizes for the very successful Royal Afternoon Tea at the beautiful Richmond Gate Hotel. The event raised the fantastic sum of £1,300 which will help to find a mobility aid for a disabled child in the local area. We were delighted to arrange the event in partnership with Athena Richmond. Events like these are so important to the charity.’

Thank you to the sponsors and event partners.
