Medical support transforming lives

The New Victoria Hospital Staff and Consultants raise over £2000 for The Victoria Foundation.

On Sunday 19th July, staff and consultants from the New Victoria Hospital took part in the Kingston Rotary Club Dragon Boat Challenge to raise funds for The Victoria Foundation.

It was a fabulous day with 63 boats competing. The hospital entered 3 teams comprised of staff, consultants and their families who all donned scrubs tops and surgeons caps. None had ever taken part in a Dragon Boat race before, so there was a steep learning curve! All teams performed fantastically with tremendous enthusiasm and were just one place short of making it to the finals.

The team have raised over £2,000 which is truly a fantastic achievement.

Graham Ball, Chief Executive of The New Victoria Hospital said, “It was a superb event and we were delighted to have taken part. I would like to thank all of our staff, consultants and their families, who took part or came along and supported us. In particular I would like to thank everyone who sponsored us.”
